Potatoes roasted in hot coals
Make a nest-like depression in a bed of hot coals.
In the nest, place:
4 potatoes, pricked in several places (piercing the skin prevents a steam explosion)
Cover the potatoes with more hot coals and cook them until they are soft on the inside, about 45–60 minutes.
Remove the potatoes from the coals and dust off the ashes.
Let the potatoes cool slightly before eating.
The outside of the potato will be charred and inedible.
Break them open and scoop out the soft insides.
