garlic and herb BUTTER
In a bowl, soften to room temperature:
½ cup good butter
Add:
4 cloves of garlic, grated or chopped finely
¾ cup finely chopped fresh herbs (chives, oregano, parsley, basil, chervil, rosemary and/or sage)
½ teaspoon sea salt
½ teaspoon lemon juice
Pinch of cayenne or black pepper (optional)
Mash together until combined.
Form into a ball or log, wrap in parchment paper, and refrigerate.
